About Team Cymru:

Team Cymru's mission is to save and improve human lives by helping public and private sector analysts track and take down cybercriminals, terrorists, and human traffickers around the world. We deliver unmatched visibility into global cyber threat activity and are a key intelligence source for leading cybersecurity and threat intelligence vendors.

Our Pure Signal platform gives enterprise security teams on-demand access to global internet traffic telemetry, providing clarity into what is happening across the internet with a level of visibility comparable to their own internal networks. This allows organizations to close detection gaps, accelerate incident response, and get ahead of critical, recurring threats.

Team Cymru is a fast-paced, distribution-focused, private equity backed company where your work directly supports a mission that protects millions worldwide.

Why This Role Matters:

As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you directly impact how the market understands and values what Team Cymru builds. You will help ensure that the company's extraordinary technical depth is translated into clear, credible, field-ready narratives that help customers, analysts, partners, and the field understand why Team Cymru is different.

By closing the gap between technical capability and market understanding, you enable Sales to win with confidence, the field to explain differentiation with precision, and Team Cymru to move beyond being described as a threat intelligence vendor toward being understood as a foundational visibility layer for defenders operating beyond the perimeter.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a technically fluent and market-savvy Technical Product Marketing Manager to sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Threat Research, Sales Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. This individual will own the translation layer between Team Cymru's technical capabilities and the story the market needs to hear.

The ideal candidate can go deep technically and translate for field-ready narratives, workflows, demos, competitive positioning, and customer-facing proof. This role requires both deep technical fluency and strong storytelling instincts to drive field confidence, market clarity, and revenue impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Messaging and Market Language
Develop clear, credible messaging that explains how Team Cymru helps customers investigate, detect, enrich, prioritize, and act on threats using external visibility across internet infrastructure, DNS, NetFlow, IPs, certificates, malware intelligence, APIs, and enrichment workflows.
Build workflow-based messaging for CTI, SOC, IR, threat hunting, detection engineering, fraud, abuse, and CISO audiences. Create technical explainers, investigation walkthroughs, persona-specific use cases, and field-ready talk tracks that make Team Cymru's telemetry, data sources, and enrichment capabilities understandable and compelling.

Field Enablement and Sales Asset Creation
Build the assets the field needs to sell Team Cymru with confidence and precision including competitive battlecards, technical objection handling, demo narratives, use case decks, sales plays, discovery guides, RFP and security questionnaire language, partner enablement, analyst briefing support, customer-facing technical explainers, persona-specific one-sheets, marketecture diagrams, workflow diagrams, and product launch enablement.
Create assets that improve sales confidence, shorten technical explanation cycles, and help the market understand why Team Cymru is different.

Product and Engineering Partnership
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to understand roadmap priorities, platform architecture, API capabilities, data coverage, enrichment logic, technical constraints, and customer workflows.
Help shape how product capabilities are positioned before they go to market, ensuring launches are market-relevant stories tied to buyer needs and operational outcomes rather than feature announcements.
Support positioning across Pure Signal Command, Scout, Recon, MCP, APIs and enrichment workflows, Total Insights Feed, malware intelligence, DNS and NetFlow pivots, partner and data integrations, AI and agentic investigation workflows, and emerging product packaging and use cases.

Competitive Intelligence and Differentiation
Own technical competitive intelligence for priority competitors and adjacent vendors across threat intelligence platforms, malware repositories, internet scanning and attack surface visibility vendors, DNS intelligence providers, fraud intelligence vendors, and enrichment providers.
Help the field explain with precision where Team Cymru wins, where competitors are strong, where not to overclaim, and how to frame comparisons in customer-relevant terms.
Drive workflow-based differentiation, what can a customer do with Team Cymru that they cannot do as easily, as credibly, or at all with another solution.

Go-to-Market Launch and Campaign Support
Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Communications, Events, Community, and Sales to bring technical substance into market-facing programs including product launches, event messaging, webinars, RISE and Underground Economy content, technical blogs, analyst relations, customer stories, executive briefings, sales campaigns, partner campaigns, and technical thought leadership.
Ensure campaigns are grounded in real workflows and credible technical differentiation, not generic threat intelligence language.

Voice of the Technical Buyer
Bring field, customer, and market feedback back into Product, Marketing, and Sales. Identify recurring gaps in understanding, objections, use cases, technical friction, buyer confusion, and market opportunities.
Spot when the market does not understand Team Cymru's value and build the content, messaging, and enablement needed to fix it.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong ability to understand complex technical products deeply and translate them into clear, credible, customer-facing value.
Cybersecurity domain knowledge ideally across threat intelligence, SOC operations, incident response, threat hunting, malware analysis, detection engineering, DNS, NetFlow, IP infrastructure, enrichment, APIs, or external telemetry.
Storytelling, and communication skills for both technical and executive audiences. Experience building technical enablement, competitive content, demos, use cases, sales plays, or technical launch materials.
Ability to work across Product, Engineering, Sales Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive stakeholders.
Strong judgment on where to be bold, where to be precise, and where not to overclaim. Ability to simplify without dumbing down.

Education and Experience:

7 plus years of experience in technical product marketing, product marketing, sales engineering, solutions marketing, threat intelligence, cybersecurity, or related technical GTM roles.
Strong cybersecurity domain knowledge ideally across threat intelligence, SOC operations, incident response, threat hunting, malware analysis, detection engineering, DNS, NetFlow, IP infrastructure, enrichment, APIs, or external telemetry.
Experience building technical enablement, competitive content, demos, use cases, sales plays, or technical launch materials.
Comfort operating in a complex technical category where the market may not yet have perfect language for the problem.
Experience with threat intelligence platforms, malware intelligence, DNS intelligence, NetFlow, internet infrastructure visibility, security data products, or cyber investigations a plus.
Experience supporting enterprise sales motions into security, government, financial services, telecom, technology, or critical infrastructure a plus.
Experience with APIs, MCP, AI-enabled workflows, or agentic security use cases a plus. Experience in high-growth cybersecurity companies or category-creation environments a plus.

Benefits may vary for non-US employees. Please contact us for details. This is a remote position.
